The pool is assembled at the customer's location on a prefabricated reinforced concrete base.
The excavation for the pool will be larger than the layout of the swimming pool:
a) the pool assembly will be place as unit, welded
The pit must be excavated at least 25 cm larger on each side; the dimensions of the pit will be by 50 cm larger than the pool assembly. A pool up to 4x8 m may be installed in this fashion.
b) the pool assembly will be welded in the pit
In this case the pit must be at least 50 cm larger on each side; the actual dimension of the pit will be at least 100 cm larger than the pool assembly.
The depth of the pit is determined by the sum of the height of the installed pool and the thickness of the concrete base. The thickness will be determined by the specialist according to the situation on your lot. Should you reach the zone of underground water, or should you assume that such water could appear, or the pool is being installed on a wet or unstable lot, consult a building specialist regarding a suitable method of water drainage or other necessary construction arrangements.
We recommend lowering of the subsurface water below the level of the concrete base by draining water to the nearest sewage or down the slope, etc. If that is not possible, we recommend the construction of an inspection well and an installation of a submergible pump in it with its bottom plate below the base. All drainage from around the base terminates at the pump.
The pool is installed on ready-made reinforced concrete base plate with a smooth surface and level within _0,5 cm. A supporting fabric, eventually thermal insulation is spread over it.. The thickness of the plate and the number of steel rods is determined by a construction specialist. Our recommendation concrete 15 to 25 cm with at least one layer of iron grid. All metal parts must be grounded. If the pool shall have a drain at the bottom, it is permitted to slope the plate with a grade of no more than 1 to 2 cm from the edge to the drain hole. Only circular pools may be installed above ground.
